Jeleel

Jeleel born October 14, 1995, is an LA based artist who is changing our perception of pop and rap music through his infectious energy and genre-defying sound.

Basketball was Jeleel’s primary focus growing up, but music has always been an important part of his life. Jeleel’s artistic journey began in 2015, while he was in college. He quickly defined his sound, stemming from his own unique energy and a wide range of influences - from Kid Cudi and DMX, to Sum 41 and Buju Banton. In making his first song alone, Jeleel felt a feeling he’d never felt before and knew that music was his true calling. After finishing school in Baltimore, MD, Jeleel moved to LA from his hometown of Rhode Island to pursue music full-time.

In L.A., Jeleel’s magnetic energy and unique sound allowed him to quickly connect with quality producers and creatives that believed in him. As he continued to gain his footing in LA, Jeleel began releasing a number of singles and videos both independently and through No Jumper, including ‘Wartime’ and “OKAY!OKAY!”. His latest album, ‘Angel from Heaven’ is a culmination of his work in building a strong infrastructure for his vision. Each song carries its own weight, along with hard-hitting accompanying visuals.

Jeleel has yet to get the recognition he deserves. Despite this, he is a disruptive and engaging talent, who undeniable originality is bound to push him far beyond any existing artistic mold.
